Sistro Trawling has a long association with its main customer Frigorifios Fandiño of Vigo Spain.

Sistro Trawling (Pty) Ltd is a company established in South Africa.  It owns and operates the MFV Sistro as seen on the pictures.  The company is a Hake Deep-sea Quota holder, catching manly Hake and a variety of by-catch species including but not limited to Kingklip, Monk, Mackerel, Squid, Octopus, Horse Mackerel and John Dory.  The vessel operates out of Cape Town Harbour, from the quay space of its sister company Viking Fishing (Deepsea).

Sistro Trawling operates under permits issued by Marine and coastal Management and supports and believes in the Eco Management approach to Fisheries Management.
